OFFICIAL RULES

1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR TO WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR ODDS OF WINNING. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

2. Eligibility. The Summer $20,000 Cash Giveaway (the “Giveaway”) is open to U.S. residents (excluding Puerto Rico) who are 18 years or older at the time of entry and who are Licensed Registered Nurses (RN license number required). Employees of Nursing Spectrum, NurseWeek (a Nursing Spectrum publication), and/or World Health (collectively “Sponsors”), Gannett Satellite Information Network, Inc., Gannett Co., Inc., and each of respective affiliated companies, subsidiaries, advertising or promotional agencies, and other agents, and the immediate family members of, and any persons domiciled with, such employees, are not eligible. The term “immediate family members” includes spouses, parents, grandparents, siblings, children, and grandchildren.

3. Entry. The Giveaway will begin at 12:01 a.m. (P.S.T.) on July 12, 2004 and will end at 11:59 p.m. (P.S.T.) on October, 10, 2004 (the “Giveaway Period”). To enter, visit the Nursing Spectrum website (www.nursingspectrum.com), NurseWeek website (www.nurseweek.com) or World Health website (www.whstaff.com) and click on the Summer $20,000 Cash Giveaway link to reach the official registration page. Complete all of the required information on the official registration page and submit your entry by following the posted instructions. You also may enter by printing your name, address, daytime telephone number, e-mail address (if any), and RN license number on a 3” x 5” card and mailing your entry to: Summer $20,000 Cash Giveaway, c/o NurseWeek, 1156-C Aster Ave., Sunnyvale, CA 94086. No facsimiles or mechanical reproductions permitted. Only one (1) entry per outer stamped envelope. The Giveaway will consist of thirteen (13) weekly drawings for Weekly Prizes which will be held each Tuesday (except July 13th) during the Giveaway Period and one final drawing for Grand Prize and Second Prize which will be held on or about October 14, 2004. The drawing pool for each weekly drawing and for the final drawing will be a cumulative pool consisting of all entries received since the beginning of the Giveaway Period (i.e., your entry will qualify you for the final drawing and all weekly drawings that take place after the date of your entry). To be eligible for a weekly drawing, your entry must be received by 11:59 p.m. (P.S.T.) the Monday before the drawing. To be eligible for the final drawing, all online entries must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. (P.S.T.) on October 10, 2004 and all mail-in entries must be postmarked by October 10, 2004 and received by October 13, 2004. Limit one (1) entry per person per week (Monday through Sunday). Multiple entries by means of software generated or other automated processes will be disregarded. Limit one (1) prize per person. Sponsors will not be responsible for incomplete, lost, late, postage-due, misdirected or illegible entries or for failure to receive entries due to transmission failures or technical failures of any kind, including, without limitation, malfunctioning of any network, hardware or software, whether originating with sender or Sponsors. In the event of a dispute, all online entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the owner of the ISP account from which they were sent. For these purposes, an ISP account holder shall mean the natural person assigned to such ISP account by the Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning ISP addresses for the domain associated with such ISP account. All entries become property of Sponsors and none will be returned. Any questions regarding the number of entries submitted or the owner of an ISP account shall be determined by Sponsors in their sole discretion, and Sponsors reserve the right to disqualify any entries by persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the Giveaway.

4. Winner Selection. One Weekly Prize Winner will be selected each Tuesday (except July 13th) during the Giveaway Period in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received as of 11:59 p.m. (P.S.T.) the previous day. A total of thirteen (13) Weekly Prize Winners will be selected in this manner. In addition, one (1) Grand Prize Winner and one (1) Second Prize Winner will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received during the Giveaway Period to be held on or about October 14, 2004.

5. Prizes and Odds. The Grand Prize Winner will receive $10,000 in cash, the Second Prize Winner will receive $3,500 in cash, and each of the thirteen (13) Weekly Prize Winners will receive $500 in cash. Total value of all prizes offered in the Giveaway is $20,000. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

6. Winner Notification and Acceptance. Weekly Prize Winners will be notified within eight (8) hours of the weekly drawing in which they are selected at the telephone number and/or email address provided on winner’s entry form. Grand Prize and Second Prize Winners will be notified on or about October 14, 2004 at the telephone number and/or email address provided on winner’s entry form. Sponsors will call only once during regular business hours at number provided on entry form and will leave no messages. Failure to reach winner during this call may result in disqualification of winner, forfeiture of his or her interest in all prizes, and selection of a substitute winner from among all remaining eligible entries. Return of email prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected. Winners may waive their right to receive prizes. Prizes are nonassignable and nontransferable. No substitutions allowed by winner. Prizes and individual components of prize packages are subject to availability and Sponsors reserve the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. Winners are solely responsible for reporting and payment of any taxes on prizes. Winners may be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility, and a liability and publicity release (except where prohibited by law) which must be returned within ten (10) days of date of personal delivery or date of postmark. Failure to sign and return the affidavit or release within ten (10) days, or to comply with any term or condition of these Official Rules, may result in a winner’s disqualification, the forfeiture of his or her interest in the prize, and the award of the prize to a substitute winner. Except where prohibited, acceptance of any prize constitutes winner’s consent to the publication of his or her name, biographical information and likeness in any media for any commercial or promotional purpose, without limitation the Internet, or further compensation. Prizes not won and claimed by eligible winners in accordance with these Official Rules will not be awarded and will remain the property of Sponsors. 7. Participation. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsors and judges. Sponsors reserve the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this Giveaway as solely determined by Sponsors. In the event the Giveaway is compromised by a virus or non-authorized human intervention, tampering or other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsors, which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Giveaway, Sponsors reserve the right in their sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Giveaway. Should the Giveaway be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, Sponsors reserve the right to award prizes based on the entries received before the termination date.

8. Construction. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any such provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, these rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein.

9. Sponsors. The Summer $20,000 Cash Giveaway is sponsored by Nursing Spectrum, NurseWeek (a Nursing Spectrum publication), and World Health whose decisions regarding the selection of winners and all other aspects of the Giveaway shall be final and binding in all respects. Sponsors will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other inadvertent errors in these Official Rules or in other materials relating to the Giveaway.
