NurseWeek will honor 48 outstanding nurses from
the South Central region Nov. 15 during a gala awards
dinner in Dallas, where the winners in eight categories
will be announced for the third annual Nursing Excellence
Awards.
A panel of nurse leaders selected the finalists from
hundreds of nominations submitted by nurses in the four
states served by NurseWeek's South Central edition.
Since the program began in 1999, NurseWeek has
honored nearly 500 nurses at ceremonies in Los Angeles,
Dallas and Las Vegas.
"We're excited to honor and celebrate nurses who
have demonstrated excellence," said Beth Ulrich,
Ed.D., RN, regional vice president and editor of NurseWeek's
South Central edition. "We think it is one of the
most important things we do for the nursing profession."
