The LNC would
likely reject the trade name Banoden-2. Although the manufacturer
may consider the "2" to mean double strength or the
second improved version of the medication, a pharmacist could
easily interpret the "2" to mean "dispense
two" of the medication. The LNC usually does not approve
names with number suffixes because of the confusion and
consequent safety issues they can cause.
